the short version
Privacy Policy.

TL;DR
I collect the minimum to deliver your course. I don't sell your data. I don't spam you. If you want your data deleted, email me and I'll do it.
Who runs this
Prompt Period is operated by Data-Informed Impact LLC (Jessica Lane, founder), based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charges show up on your card as PROMPT PERIOD.
What I collect
- Your email address. Used to send course access, module updates, and answer your replies.
- Your name and billing info. Collected by Stripe at checkout. I never see your full card number.
- A random access token tied to your email so you can sign in.
- Basic server logs (IP, browser, timestamps). Used to keep the site running and spot abuse.
That's it. No tracking pixels. No advertising cookies. No selling your info.
Who else sees it
I use three services to run this. They each see the data they need to do their job, and nothing else:
- Stripe — payment processing. Sees your name, billing info, and payment details.
- Neon — database hosting. Stores your email, access token, and purchase date.
- Resend — email delivery. Sees your email when I send you something.
All three have their own privacy policies and are GDPR/CCPA-aligned. None of them sell your data either.
FERPA and student data
This course is for educators. I never collect, see, or store any student data. The course itself teaches you to never put student data into AI. The closest I get to your students is anonymized aggregate context you choose to type into the course materials, which lives on your device and goes to Anthropic (not me).
How long I keep it
Your account info stays as long as you have access to the course (lifetime). If you want it deleted earlier, email me and I'll handle it within 7 days.
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- Show you what data I have on you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete it all
- Stop emailing you (you'll lose access to module updates)
Email jessica@promptperiod.comfor any of these. I'll respond within a week.
Cookies
One essential session cookie when you're signed in (so the site knows it's you). No analytics cookies, no tracking, no third-party advertising.
Changes
If I change this policy in any meaningful way, I'll email you. The minor stuff (typos, clarifications) I just fix here.
